The appearance of sagging breasts is usually not reversible with exercise and can be disheartening to any woman who desires to look her best. At Dr. Robert Zubowski's practice, we offer surgical breast lift procedures to raise, reshape, and restore symmetry to sagging breasts.
Breast lift surgery, or mastopexy, involves the removal of excess skin that causes the breasts to appear droopy. The procedure takes about two hours and entails the creation of precise incisions through which Dr. Zubowski removes the extra skin. He then reshapes the remaining breast tissue to create a more youthful figure and reshapes the areola and nipple. Once Dr. Zubowski feels he has achieved a balanced, natural, and symmetrical look, he closes the incisions and dresses the patient in a pressure garment to aid in healing.
Breast lift surgery can also be used to reduce the size of the areola or to change the shape and size of the nipples. When you come in for a consultation, Dr. Zubowski may suggest the insertion of breast implants for smaller breasts to increase the firmness and size of your breasts while making them appear even more youthful.
